Lesson 17 – The Importance of GREAT Content

Over the last few months, we’ve been using a lot of free reports and content-rich webinars to educate our list before even offering them anything to buy.

And this strategy has been working like gangbusters.

And I believe you should be doing the same – or at least something similar.


Because it boils down to the fact that ONLINE people will not buy something until they know, like, and trust you.

And, if you’re promoting our programs, then they’ll need time to know, like, and trust me as well.

That’s why it’s very important to “warm” your prospects with great content (from yours truly or your own).

And the best part is that most of our programs offer brandable PDF reports that you can plug and play into your existing website or email marketing campaigns.

But, you don’t necessarily need to use free reports or even webinars to give your visitors and lists great content.

I would actually recommend starting by writing your own unique and highly-valuable content on your blog.

Doing so, will give your blog more authority and reason to be revisited as well as giving your own unique spin on any particular program of ours that you’re promoting.

And I believe that’s what we all want.

There’s so much garbage on the web. People can find all the information they need – as long as they’re willing to surf around forever for it.

But if you can step in and educate them along with giving your own unique perspective, then that’s where the real value is.

Yes, we have “copy and paste” articles that you can use on your site BUT…

I still firmly believe that you need to create your own content even if it’s just once per week.

And when writing your content, remember this…

- The longer the better (1000 words or more is ideal)

- Embed video in your post (to increase the time visitors stay on your site). If you want you can use any of the videos from my youtube account.

- Don’t overdo the affiliate links (1-2 per post is fine but make sure you’re also linking internally within your own site for added SEO benefit)

To sum everything up…

Good content is an important part of your affiliate success because it builds TRUST and authority with your readers.

Once you have that, then you will have more influence.

Thus, sending them an email recommending one of our programs becomes a no-brainer for them to take action on because they know, like, and trust you.

Plus, by that point, they might also know me and my programs and feel more comfortable making a purchase.

Remember this…

Purchasing online is a bit different from buying face-to-face.

It’s much easier for someone to invest $100 to hire a personal trainer for just one hour (in person) then it is to buy some random fitness program online for the same price.

Why is that?

I’ll leave that one with you but the answers are already in this lesson.
